Study visit at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna.

On April 11-13, 2022 three persons from the Department of Reproduction with the Clinic of Farm Animals of the UPWr – prof. dr hab. Wojciech Niżański, dr Sylwia Prochowska and DVM Zuzanna Ligocka performed a study visit at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna.
A meeting with prof. Christine Aurich, prof. Joerg Aurich and prof. Sabine Schäfer-Somi was very fruitful. Several important topics were dis-cussed. First one was organization of fifth part of NAWA workshops on assisted animal reproduction techniques, which will be held in Vienna in July. Everybody agreed on live, stationary form of workshops. The second aspect were further mobilities planned to be realized within the frame of the project. The third topic was establishment of European College of Animal Reproduc-tion (ECAR) residency in Wrocław. In Vienna there is a strong group of ECAR Diplo-mates (including prof. Christine Aurich, prof. Jorge Aurich and prof. Sabine Schäfer-Somi) who will help and support prof. Wojciech Niżański to open in Wrocław a training center for ECAR residents.

Additionally a PhD student Zuzanna Ligocka discussed with prof. Sabine Schäfer-Somi results obtained during her previous internships in Vienna and continued in Wrocław. The results will be presented during ISCFR-EVSSAR Congress, which will be held in Milan, Italy, from June 30th to July 2nd, 2022.

During the stay there was also time to visit the old town with its beautiful monuments, including St. Stephen's Cathedral, and Museum of Natural History.
