- On September 26-28, 2022, two scientists from the University of Padua, professor Mauro Dacasto and professor Mery Giantin, came on a study visit to the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław.
NAWA ScienceNet Sessions during XVI Congress "Problems in the reproduction of small animals"
- On September 24-25, 2022, the XVI Congress "Problems in the reproduction of small animals" was held in Wrocław. On the first day, there were two sessions organized within the NAWA ScienceNet project (no. PPI / APM / 2019/1/00044 / U / 00001) entitled: "Perspectives and challenges in small animal reproduction" and "Assisted reproduction".
Return to the University of Padua
- On 12/09/2022 - 20/09/2022 a researcher of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the UPWr - dr hab. Aleksandra Pawlak visited the University of Padua again, this time in the company of an employee of the Department, Ewa Dejnaki.
International workshops on reproductive biotechniques within NAWA ScienceNet project - part V: Clinical aspects of feline reproduction: an update
- On September 16th, 2022, the fifth and final part of the series of workshops organized as part of the NAWA ScienceNet project (no. PPI/APM/2019/1/00044) on reproductive biotechniques took place. The course master was prof. Alain Fontbonne from L'École Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort (France).
Study visit of cardiologists at Ghent University
- On August 27, 2022 - September 2, 2022 prof. dr hab. Agnieszka Noszczyk-Nowak and Dr. Natalia Siwińska, from the Department of Internal Diseases with the Clinic of Horses, Dogs and Cats of the UPWr, took a week-long study trip to the University of Ghent (Large Animal Clinic and Veterinary Clinic with the Laboratory, Belgium) under the supervision of prof. Gunther van Loon and Pascale Smets.
Research internship of the employees of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in Iowa
- On July 16, 2022 - August 7, 2022 prof. dr hab. Aleksandra Pawlak and Dr. Karolina Kapturska (Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, UPWr), completed a three-week internship at Iowa State University (USA).

International workshops on reproductive biotechniques within NAWA ScienceNet project - part IV: Spermatozoa Function and Conservation in Large and Small Animals
- On July 22nd, 2022, the fourth part of the series of workshops organized as part of the NAWA ScienceNet project (no. PPI/APM/2019/1/00044) on reproductive biotechniques took place. The role of the course master of the event passed into the hands of prof. Christine Aurich and prof. Sabine Schäfer-Somi from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna.
A four-months scientific internship at the University of Bath
- From March 6th to July 7th, a young scientist from UPWr, dr Sylwia Banaszkiewicz performed an internship at the Milner Centre of Evolution at the University of Bath, United Kingdom. She joined a world leading genomics and bioinformatics group led by professor Samuel Sheppard (https://sheppardlab.com/), renowned scientist working on microbial evolution.

Two PhD students visiting Ghent University
- On June 7-14, 2022 two PhD students from the Department of Reproduction and Clinic of Farm Animals (UPWr) - Maria Eberhardt and Meriem Baouche - completed a training visit at the University of Ghent (Department of Internal Diseases, Reproduction and Population Medicine, Belgium).
Research internship at the University of Bath
- As part of the mobility of scientists participating in the ScienceNet project consortium, dr hab. Błażej Poźniak from the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of UPWr spent 4 weeks at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmacology of the University of Bath in Great Britain (May 8, 2022 - June 3, 2022).
An internship of PhD student from UPWr in Paris-Alfort
- From 31st of March 2022 till 26th of May 2022, a PhD student from UPWr, Kenneth Abah performed a research internship at L'École Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort (Small Animal Reproduction Clinic). His supervisor was prof. Alain Fontbonne, who is also a co-supervisor of his PhD thesis.
Workshop on pharmacokinetic modeling - open registration

- On February 5, 2022 - May 7, 2022 Dr. Bartłomiej Jaśkowski, assistant professor at the Department of Reproduction and Clinic of Farm Animals (UPWr), completed a three-month internship at the University of Ghent.

- On April 18, 2022 - May 7, 2022, Department of Reproduction of the UPWr hosted the second PhD student from Belgium – Hiba Ali Hassan (from the Department of Internal medicine, Reproduction and Population Medicine, Ghent University).

Dr. Martina Colombo from the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences, University of Milan (UNIMI - Italy) had the chance to visit the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Reproduction and Population Medicine, in Gent University (UGhent - Belgium), under the supervision of Prof. Ann Van Soom.

- Isa Mohammed Alkali performed his second internship within the NAWA APM Project at Ghent University (Department of Internal Medicine, Reproduction and Population Medicine) from 1st of March 2022 till 30th of April 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Dr Ann Van Soom.
