Visit of scientists from the University of Padua to the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the UPWr

On September 26-28, 2022, two scientists from the University of Padua, professor Mauro Dacasto and professor Mery Giantin, came on a study visit to the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław.

During the visit, the guests had the opportunity to get to know the research and teaching facilities of UPWr. During official and private meetings, they also had the opportunity to meet our scientists and establish new scientific contacts. The guests listened to the descriptions of research activities conducted at the Department and offered advice on solving the problems encountered.


A meeting during which guests gave scientific lectures, open to all willing employees and students of UPWr, was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences. Professor Dacasto talked about the progress made in veterinary pharmacology, presenting the topic: "Old and New Tools in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology - A Sentimental Journey Using Cattle as a Model Species" and Professor Giantin introduced the audience to the topic of pharmacogenetics: "Outlines on Veterinary Pharmacogenetics : A Personal Experience".


The visit of the Partners was also an opportunity to summarize the implemented project, discuss the obtained results and plan future joint research.

There was also time to explore Wrocław together and an evening on the market square.
