Visit of dr Martina Colombo in Department of Reproduction in Wrocław

Between August 16th and August 20th, 2021, young researcher Martina Colombo, PhD, from the University of Milan (UNIMI), attended the Department of Reproduction in Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (UPWr) under the supervision of Prof. Nizanski.

The aim of her stay was to get a good knowledge of the facilities and of the activities of the reproduction research group in UPWr, in order to critically think about the possibilities for further collaborations.

She could observe the routine clinical and research work in the Department and could participate in many activities, such as cell culture, histology, semen collection and freezing, and oocyte preparation for transmission electron microscopy.


Continuous discussion between Martina and the Wrocław Team allowed them to conceive future experiments focused on oocyte developmental competence and antioxidants and to plan mutual mobility of UNIMI and UPWr PhD students.
